MAKE-UP AND WARDROBE

Students very often have the misunderstanding that exaggerated make-up means theatrical make-up. Thus, we ran a 16-hour “Basic Theatrical Make-up Workshop” during the Easter holiday spanning five days. Through the activity, students have developed a new understanding of theatrical make-up and the skill to master it better. On top of strong visual effects, theatrical make-up also allows actors to fully exert themselves. Actors of school musicals are mostly teenagers, in addition to their excellent acting, theatrical make-up to a certain extent will enhance their image and make their characters at different ages more convincing.

Students who have participated in the Workshop are thrilled to have the chance to put what they have learnt into practice. As instructors, we really hope students will exert their team spirit behind the curtains and devote themselves to contributing to the success of the musical.
